Hazel eyes are a very pretty color of eyes that occur less naturally than brown eyes. Brown eyes are the most dominant color of eyes, with hazel being an offshoot of brown. That's because hazel colored eyes have some brown in them. Make up tips for hazel eyes can cover an entire plethora of colors because there are essentially two colors in hazel eyes.
When I was a child my father and I would compare our eyes every day because we had the same color eyes. While we both had hazel colored eyes, our eyes would turn green the very next day. It was so cool to look in the mirror every day, and see that my eyes were hazel one day and green the next. And my Father's eyes did the same thing! Now that I'm older they went completely bright green. Cool! An asset to getting gray hair, wrinkles and creaking body parts.
When I was older, I learned very quickly what makeup goes and doesn't go with hazel colored eyes. Of course, I couldn't ask my father tips on wearing makeup with his color eyes, because he didn't wear any. He was just that way, not the rock star type.
Here are the color of eyeshadows that don't go with hazel colored eyes:
Stay away from blue. Blue doesn't look good with hazel colored eyes. It just makes you look like you are trying desperately to get that 1960's look, which is in style, but looks bad with hazel eyes. Blue with hazel colored eyes on an older woman, sad to say, makes that woman look even older.
Gray looks bad with hazel colored eyes also. It looks like you are trying to make your eyes look less pretty.
Pink can blend in very well with your natural skin color, but it makes hazel eyes look less dramatic. A nice light pink does work well with green eyes though.
Eyeshadow color to utilize with hazel color eyes:
Green works absolute wonders with hazel eyes. Green makes the eyes seem vibrant and more alive. Afterall, the eyes are just about green so why wouldn't this color look good?
Brown looks great with hazel colored eyes. Due to the small amount of brown in the eyes, brown brings out that color and really highlights the green. Almost any color of brown works very well with hazel colored eyes. Dark brown plays up the eyes and even a more muted lighter brown looks great.
Gold also looks really good with hazel eyes, and brings out a certain coolness to the eyes.
