Recipes: Easy baked macaroni and cheese

BAKED MACARONI AND CHEESE
Baked macaroni and cheese are definitely a comfort food in the South. My friends and I get together once a year for a slumber party, just for us middle aged girls. We have tons of fun, they always ask me to bring Mac and Cheese. It's always a favorite at the party, so I want to share it with you. It serves a large crowd of hungry people.

1 stick of butter or margarine
1 large box of elbow macaroni
2 cans of evaporated milk
1 to 2 cups of sweet milk
1/4 cup of flour
5 egg
1 small box of velveeta cheese
1/2 cup of sour cream
1 tsp. of mustard
salt and pepper
Cook the macaroni according to directions on the box; drain. Stir in 1 package of cheese, and add velveeta to the hot macaroni. Stir until melted. Melt butter, and add cup of flour. Mix until smooth. Beat eggs and add to butter mixture. Add canned milk and sweet milk, stir together. Then add sour cream and mustard. Salt and Pepper.
In a large buttered casserole sprinkle bottom with cheddar cheese. Then add the macaroni mixture. Pour milk and egg mixture over the mac and cheese. Take the end of a wooden spoon and poke holes throughout the mixture so it can be spread evenly in the macaroni. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese. Bake for one hour at 350 degrees.
If you want to give it a little color then add some paprika to the top. I'm sure this will become your favorite baked macaroni and cheese dish. Enjoy!
