Why do people lose their money so easily?

get down on yourself. The whole point of a scam is to make it as believable and convincing as possible. It is your responsible though to do a good amount of research and collect as much information as possible before committing to something. I'm sure most of you are familiar with MLM's (Multi-Level Marketing Schemes). These are designed for people to make more money based on the level they achieve and the amount of people they get in their network. In theory, these schemes work, but they require a lot more time and effort than advertised and most often require the cooperation of other people whom you have no control over. The best way not to get scammed is to not put yourself in a situation where you are desperate enough to try anything to make money.

One of the most common ways to lose your money is through addiction. People get addicted to drugs, alcohol, gambling, shopping, and many other compulsive behaviors. Some of these behaviors can lead to a lot more serious problems than just losing your money. People who become addicted to drugs or alcohol do so in order to escape reality. These habits can be very damaging to one's health and lead fatal illnesses. Gambling is an addiction that is usually the result of not having money and wanting to try and strike it rich. Gambling provides people with the allure of being able to make money by playing games. The obsession with trying to "beat the house" often ends with people declaring bankruptcy, losing their jobs, and in some cases losing their families. It rarely ends with people getting rich. Addictions are probably the quickest way for a person to lose their money and one of the most destructive. This is because addictions not only affect the person involved, but all the people around them including their immediate family and other relatives.

Poor decision making, scams, and addictions are three of the most common ways people lose their money. If you can avoid these problems, chances are you will be happier and wealthier than people who don't avoid these behaviors. Keep this in mind, the only thing worse than never having money, is having all the money in the world and losing it.
