Slippery Slope
When you take a wrong turn,
You quickly learn,
It's a slippery slope,
With little to hope.
A step to the left,
Leaves you staring down a cleft.
From the narrow road,
The paths that lead astray, of evil bode.
The voices of the night calling,
Begging you to keep on falling.
The devil plays his game,
Only out to maim.
Steal, kill and destroy,
The pleasures he enjoys.
Laughing at your guilt.
Causing you to wilt.
Messing with your head,
Making sure you're mislead.
The earth is his for now,
To him alone he wants us to bow.
But this will not remain,
Not much longer will this be his domain.
Don't give in,
To the temptation of sin.
Straight for the narrow gate,
Don't be late.
Don't step aside,
And embrace the lie.
Stand fast,
Christ will help you last.
Keep your eyes on Him,
And you won't sink, but swim.
