Poetry: Far away in distance

Far away from my heart

Asleep is far from my mind thoughts of anything and everything flood in its place. Thoughts of home and family are constant. Dreams of dancing or running usually fill my mind but in these days, thoughts of home in my head fill up continually. Worries that I cannot control.
That I fear if I am the only one something I will hear secondhand.
Never will I understand the distance so far away. I'm always hoping that maybe someday I will meet with my kin, maybe someday I'll meet up with them, my kin, my blood and maybe the songs will return of home and love of pastures and mountains oh so high are the kind of things that fill my mind when sleep does come. When gone such day's sun. Therefore, I fear not my loved ones near or far in my heart; I will never be pulled apart. I hold you in like thought in my heart. Other things I may forget but distance and time will never diminish the strength and love I feel for you. Because what I feel is strong and true. Therefore, other things may take me away but maybe someday soon I will be home to stay.
