The Storm
What made the sky so angry
that it covered up the sun
What turned the bright, blue sky to gray
Sent critters on the run
The clouds grew big and threatening
spreading gloom around
Chasing all to shelter, hiding
from its deep'ning frown
Darker, darker still it grows
swelling with its ire
Grumbling first, as if to warn
then building up, like fire
Now letting loose with all its might
great winds it doth uncage
Hurling down great bolts of light
and thundering its rage
Then, bursting with its heavy load
unable to hold back
It sends its torment streaming down
o'er house and hill and shack
Its anger spent upon the earth
it slowly ebbs away
Grumbling in the distance,saying
"I'll be back one day"
