I remember the time when you gave me to a wolf
His tail was shaking as my knees were quaking
His paws ripped my shirt as I hit the dirt
I remember screaming for you to stop the wolf
His tongue taking a lick, as my stomach got sick
His teeth taking a bite while I chose to lose site
I remember how you saved me from the wolf
The wide-eyed look with the surprise I took
The shameful jitter because I was bitter
I remember the hunter who came for the wolf
The question of my survival that came with his arrival
The story he spilled of the many killed
I remember feeling proud to help capture the wolf
Thankful for my place with a smile on my face
Thankful to be the tool that made the wolf a fool
