The Internet has opened up several advantages which has enhanced quality of life. This technology provides a steady stream of information, high level of convenience and has opened up many different avenues of communication. In many ways the Internet has made life easier and more flexible with the many options it offers.
Unfortunately with all the advantages, the Internet does have a dark side too. Along side of the numerous benefits there are a few growing negative effects present. With every new opportunity given, there is usually some kind of cost; these negative effects are the trade-offs that accompany the wonders of the Internet.
The good news is if you recognize these drawbacks you can effectively reduce or eliminate them from your online experiences. Here are a few of the darkest aspects of the Internet:

Since they can easily pretend to be someone they are not, the Internet is an easy way to make a connection with a victim and carefully collect information about them until they have enough to seek them out in person.
