Swedish meatballs are a delicious course, especially when served with noodles and a green salad. The sauce is like a comfort food in and of itself. They can be made fairly quickly and easily with this recipe.
*Ingredients for meatballs
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
1/2 cup onion, minced
3/4 cup bread crumbs
1 Tbsp. parsley
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
*Instructions
Mix all ingredients. Shape into meatballs. Brown in 1/4 cup oil. Remove and set aside. Make sauce.
*Ingredients for sauce
3/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
*Instructions
Stir ingredients into hot fat in pan used for meatballs. When bubbly, stir in 2 cups boiling water and sour cream.
Return meatballs to pan with sauce. Gently stir to coat. Serve over noodles and enjoy!
