He changes into jogging shorts as the energy within him will have to be dispersed. He proceeds to jog about the neighborhood in acceptable human form. Everything would have stayed that way with him running in seemingly endless laps about the large city blocks, had it not been for the smell which seems to literally drench the cooling night air. The odor calls to him as a distant shoreline seduces a seasick, water-bound traveler. He jogs in place as he rasies his nose into the air and inhales. Despite the rain the scent trail remains.
He waits a few moments before leaving the blacktop. He cuts across several backyards to be chased by a few small fluffs of dogs. Another time and place he would have taken the time to rip the silly things apart, as it would only have taken a second, but this evening even that could not be spared.
He clears the bordering fence of the subdivision and lands in the open field, soon to be the target of yet another housing tract. Before long this stretch of land now inhabited by field mice and even an occasional gopher snake, will feel the shuddering impact of man's earth moving machines but tonight a much more primal act is in the making.
"Go again, Hon?" A woman's voice carries over the night air. The words so soft that they even Newhouse has trouble understanding them.
The man's response is muffled, dulled. Newhouse grins as he breathes deeply. Oh, the games humans play. The silly man will pay the female money for something he could easily have taken. He can smell the the man's sweat and imagines him to be a middle aged business person who's told his wife that he's in a dinner meeting. Don't worry, he'd be home in time for a snuggle before sleep.
Only his true desire is far more than a snuggle of the conventional sexual positions he routinely plays through with his mate. Tonight he wants more - something that will make him breathless with forbidden pleasure.
"Yeah." A deep male voice speaks up as though to confirm the werewolf's thoughts. "I'll be ready in a little. You will be compensated." Again a businessman forging a deal.
"You bet your pretty white ass I will be. Not that I don't like what you have but time is money."
Newhouse leaves his clothes on the ground in a heap. A ripple and the change is complete. He advances on all fours with his belly close to the ground. The man's harsh breathing drives him forward.
