The disappearance of Caylee Anthony is, at best, one of the biggest mysteries of the year 2008.

Where is little 3 year old Caylee? No one seems to know, especially her 22 year old mother, Casey Anthony. Casey claims to have left little Caylee with a nanny. Casey says it was in early June. The Police and the evidence say, no, it was after Father's Day, sometime around June 16th is the last time anyone can recall seeing little Caylee. At any rate, Casey was not seen by anyone other than her Mother since Father's Day.

The problem is, Casey did not report her missing. She told no one that the nanny had vanished in to thin air with her daughter. When Caylee's Grandmother Cindy (Casey's mother) finally tracked Casey down on July 16th, her first question was "Where's Caylee?"

When Casey gave her the unbelievable story of the vanishing nanny, Cindy Anthony called the police.

That's when the story started to unfold.

Cindy Anthony had gottennotice that her daughter's car, which was registered to Cindy and her husband George Anthony, had been impounded. When they went to retrieve the car from the pound, Cindy noticed an odor. George did too. Cindy told the 911 dispatcher "it smells like there has been a dead body in the damn car."

Cindy and George are not strangers to the smell of a dead body. She is a registered nurse, he is a former Ohio police officer.

Later, in what can only be described as a mother's denial, Cindy Anthony said that it was not a dead body, it was some pizza that had been in the trunk of the car for 12 days in the hot Florida sun.

Cadaever dogs, trained only on the scent of human decomposition, not pizza, alerted trainers to the trunk of Casey's car. Not one, but two dogs, from different trainers, sniffed out the scent of human decomposition in the car.

Teh University of Tennessee has developed a way to test air samples for human decomposition. The results of their testing: positive for human decomposition.

Nancy Grace, a former prosecutor, now host of her own news show, is more than just intrigued by this story. She, along with many mothers and grandparents across the nation, are holding their babies closer and wondering what could have lead this young mother to what appears to be, murder.

Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez the nanny Casey claims is the vanishing nanny. Casey has denied exchanging money with Zanny in exchange for the child. The police did not have to ask her about this, she volunteered this information herself.

She lead police, and everyone concerned,
