Saving money be recycling is one of the easiest things that you will ever do. When you look at the way you function each day you will notice that there are things that you do that you can change to save money while recycling at the same time with little to no effort on your part. All you have to have is the time and willingness to recycle and reuse items.
You can take those aluminum cans and any scrap metal you have to the recycling center on your next outing and they will pay you for them. You can put this money into savings but recycling old car parts, automobile batteries and whatever else they take isn't the only way to save money through recycling.
You will spend a fortune on food and water dishes if you have pets. Instead of buying them the custom pet bowls take those butter containers that you get every time you buy butter and use them to feed and water them in. Instead of buying storage containers for leftover food put it in those plastic containers you got something else from. (Make sure they previous stored food, you don't' want chemicals in your food.)
If you have decided to grow your own herbs you can take those bottles you had from the store and use them for the herbs out of your garden. That is if you decided to dry some and not use them only when they are fresh. Empty containers from your kitchen can be used to make piggy banks for your children or yourself instead of running out to buy one. They can spend more time with you decorating them which gives' them an added treat.
The main part of recycling to save money at home is to find new uses for things that you've emptied or don't think you need anymore. Even makeup that you think can't be used because it's broken can still be used. When you have a favorite tube of lipstick that has broken you think you have to go buy a new one. You don't all you need is a brush to dip in it and get the color out or you can put it into a different container. Broken eye shadows or blushes can be combined with Vaseline and used to color your lips. There's a savings right there by reducing the amount of makeup you buy in a year's time.
When it comes to cleaning you spend a small fortune on brushes and scrub pads each year. When it comes to those tiny cracks and crevices keep old toothbrushes to get into those areas. When you have old towels and bath clothes that are wearing out instead of throwing them out cut them down into cleaning rags and you won't have to buy any for a long time.
Saving money by recycling is simple, you just have to recycle everything you can and find new uses for the things that you can't.
