We all seem to have an emotional tie with movie stars. They are afterall just like us. You fall in love with a movie star, or you truly want to be just like him or her. Who wouldn't want to act in movies, make millions for doing so, and get a high so high from doing it that you feel like a million bucks? But many times the stars we fall in love with are taken from us much too soon. They, afterall are the people that choose to take those huge leaps and live a life we only dream about.

While on the outside looking in, it may seem that celebrities lead these great lives. Possibly they do lead great lives, and just push the envelope too far one too many times. They end up dying way too young, while their star was shining so very brightly. We would have loved to see them perform in many movies to come, but for some reason they died way too young.

Here are the movie stars we miss that died too young:

Heath Ledger was only 28 years young when he died from an overdose from prescription drugs. He was born in 1979, and died on January 22, of 2008. An Australian actor, he wanted desperately to be a star and set out to become one from an early age. He acted in several Australian movies before making the big leap across several continents and thousands of miles, conquering not only the United States but the world with his acting abilities.

His movie roles including acting as a gay sheepherder in Brokeback Mountain, scored him critical acclaim at the box office and gave him world -wide notice as a great actor. The role of the Joker for the movie The Dark Knight was an eerie portryal of the Joker, and talk about winning an Oscar has been batted about. With his impressive portrayal of the Joker we saw the Heath had an a depth, and possibly a major dark side to his persona that created this awe-inspiring role. It also leads one wondering how great an actor he could have become, and what we have missed out on. It is sad to see a young talented actor die well before his time.

Has everyone forgotten about River Phoenix? River Phoenix died over a decade ago, and is a very missed soul in the movie world. He was only 23 years old when he died in front of his fellow actor's famous club( Johnny Depp)-The Viper Room back in 1993. River Phoenix actually walked out of the Viper Room that fateful morning, fell over, and died on the spot many years ago. His brother and sister were there with him and did everything they could to resuciate him. He died from a heroin-cocaine lethal mix.
