Class and elegance are not things that can be bought in a clothing store. Men and women both have levels of classiness, elegance and charm that the will shine through because of the way they were raised, the way they behave and how they feel on the inside. Beauticians and Fashion Designers can give you tips on make-up, hairstyles and what clothes to wear but really class and elegance comes from the inside.
Some tips to remember when you are searching for your inner class and elegance are:
Etiquette- Proper etiquette whether dining out at a restaurant or sipping tea at home shows an astounding level of elegance. Posture, manners and grace can show off your classiness. If you need to cough, use a napkin. If you burp, say excuse me. If you are listening to someone, incline your head towards them. Etiquette is just a matter of common sense.
Good Deeds- Picking up something a lady drops, holding open a door, giving flowers for no reason are each good deeds that show you have class. Volunteering your time at nursing homes, hospitals and also the library are great deeds that show you have class and you are giving back to your community at the same time.
Language- If every other word coming out of your mouth is a cuss word, insult or derogatory statement then you are showing how much class you lack. When everyone one who comes in contact with you wants to wash your mouth out then you should really work on improving your language. Class and elegance can be perceived through our speech.
Body Language- Standing up straighter, always lending a hand, showing listening interest are all body language signals. When someone see's you walking down the street with your back straight, your head raised high and a smile on your lips they will think "There goes someone with class". Your inner class will shine through with your body language.
Fashion Attire- First impressions are often assessed by what kind of clothes you are wearing, your speech and etiquette. All of these things are seen and computed in the brain in less than 10 seconds. Dressing to fit your body type is a great way to show off how elegant and classy you are. Dressing yourself in frumpy, oversized clothing is a great way to diminish how elegant you really are on the inside.
Make your inner classiness and elegance stand out by dressing better, using your proper etiquette, cleaning up your language and giving off the right body signals to others. The next time someone see's you they will definitely think "There goes someone with class."
