A labyrinth, full of secrets that are both wonderful and terrible. Full of danger, and yet with so much to offer it has become a necessity. The internet helped a child with a science project today. Helped a mother find that recipe for dinner. Made it possible for a father to quickly pay bills with the click of a button.
The internet helped a predator abduct a child today. The mother no longer thinks of the internet as a tool to help with dinner and the father no longer thinks of the internet as a tool to handle the family finances. It is now an accomplice which aided in the harm of their precious child.

Child abduction is only one of the many grotesque snares to be found on the internet. Here the most vile and perverted of humans can ensnare others and spout their doctrines without fear and without hesitation. Innocent people just looking for harmless information many times run across horendous and horrible material without even looking for it. Sometimes research on the internet can be a bit like dumpster-diving as we filter through the pedophiles, porn, and perversion to retrieve the information we need for our term paper.
How dangerous is porn, anyway? This subject runs rampant on the internet. FREEDOM OF SPEECH! I don't mind you speaking your mind. Just keep your clothes on.
Has the world become so perverse that we feel a need to have degraded women, victimized children, and perverted lifestyles brought into our homes as entertainment? They are just naked people. No, it's more than that. It shocks me that something like porn, which has torn many a wife's heart in two, and shattered many a household, that there are not more people in this supposedly "civilized and politically correct world" willing to stand up and speak out against it. When a pedophile or perverts house is investigated one thing that is always found are pornographic magazines. Some porn magazines have even run articles on such items as how to molest children while babysitting them. Is there a connection? Is this as innocent a thing as the twisted leaders of this moneymaking phenomena will tell you? We have blurred the lines in this world. Nakedness is still nakedness. That business has just as much right to post nude woman in the window as they do to walk her down the street nude.
There certainly is a negative side to the internet. And there are ways of protecting yourself from the downside of this useful tool. Internet filters can make the web a much more effective and less-sinister thing. And with the right precautions and safety on our part, the internet is a marvelous help to mankind.
