US elections 2008: Are candidates missing an opportunity to connect with voters on open government issues?

Title endorsed in part by:

the smoke screen of fluent and inspiring words. Words of encouragement are always good to hear but words seldom get the job done and the voters know this.

This election will only be won by the candidate that involves the voter's minds on energy, economy and world affairs that the American public is allowed to interact with. The American people have noticed how congress and their senseless battles over party and money have put all Americans on that "Bridge to nowhere" by simply not wanting to work together as Americans.

We as a country rely on our President of choice to make the critical decisions and protect our interest. Americans bend over backwards and put their faith into candidates hands that they will serve those interest and not personal interest groups that determine our nations welfare. We have to become a independent nation as far as energy is concerned and we have to revive the American spirit with truth. Community service to help our chosen candidate in the future will be a tough battle but through the next Presidents ability to get the people of this great county involved again will only determine the fate of all Americans. Good or bad it is the American people that will determine the destiny of our great society and not the decisions of a couple of candidates.

The United States government will have to be run like a successful company. Proxies are just like votes. If you do not like the choices of how your company is run you can vote him out. The CEO and all other VPs of companies rely on these votes to elect the most qualified people to run their company and if you buy stock and threaten to veto your vote it will get their attention. This is what keeps the companies in check with employee interest and the same can be said for our government.

If any candidate fails to connect with it's people and I do not mean republican or democrat. I mean the American people that have built this country from the constitution on down. It is our right to make that connection and we should vote for the candidate that has the most to offer. One that is not scared of a fight or reluctant to reach out all sides of government to get things done. We should not wait for times of crisis to come together as a nation. It should be on every Americans last breath that we see this happen if that is what it takes to connect. Candidates should see this too because they work for us. We pay the bills and the constituents are always right, just like any customer that enters a place of business.

Tax cuts are nothing more than an illusion, a hindrance to undermine our economy and keep the corrupt government officials pockets lined with other politicians better ideals on how to misguide the American people. This lack of connecting with the American people will only bring more of the same things we have seen. The United States government is broken because it wishes to stay broken. Separatism and individualism have corrupted the very thing we as Americans try to keep away from. Until we make some type of connection the out look for the future of the United States could very well be strained and other countries that have grown rich off the unconnected constituents of America could very well take over our nation with out firing a shot.

John McCain was right we have to take our country back and move it in a completely different direction if we are to survive as a nation. Obama connects with the American people but in a disillusion kind of way. We need to connect on America's strengths not wander off following the pied piper just because he has a flute.
