Softest rays
of gentlest light
awaken me
to the dawn
of new day.
Not yet ready
to relinquish
the night,
silently
I remain to
slumber.
Arms of love,
the color
of windswept
desert sand
wrap me
in familiar
comfort
with warmth
that rivals
the now
risen sun.
I long
to remain
forever
in his
embrace.
