Park City Utah is anything but dull during the holiday season. Spend November through December in Park City Utah having the time of your life. There's literally so much to do, you will have to hire a personal assistant to figure it all out, and schedule everything for you.
Park City Utah is nestled in the Wasatch Mountains and is just 32 miles from downtown Salt Lake City. Park City Utah has quickly become a major tourist destination and is the site of The Sundance Film Festival. The 2002 Winter Olympics skiing and snowboarding events took place here
WINTER SPORTS
Skiing reigns supreme here with all the glorious natural skiing terrain of the Wasatch Mountains. But there are also many other winter sports activities to enjoy as well such as: cross country skiing, snow tubing, snowshoeing, snow mobiling, Heli and Cat skiing, sleigh rides, and taking tours in the snow. There's also fishing and hunting, hot air ballooning, ice skating, and going for a walk amid winter's splendor.
CULTURE
Park City Utah is an extensive cultural area to spend the holiday season. Numerous art galleries have everything you will want to purchase from jewelry to paintings. You can't possibly be bored here with the live theater, renowned musical acts entertaining you, and the independent film showings. It's hard to believe that this area at one time was the very center of lead, gold and silver mining.
NIGHTLIFE AND RESTAURANTS
You can literally stay up all night partying and then go skiing the next day. There are hundreds of clubs and bars to choose from, such as jazz clubs, rock clubs and dance the night away clubs. You could spend every night at a different restaurant because there are over one hundred! You will have a difficult time trying to decide where to have your New Year's Eve party!
WEATHER
How can you beat this? The weather here is stellar for skiing. But it doesn't snow enough to warrant a blizzard that keeps you from enjoying everything. In fact this area gets less snow than other areas of Utah. You can ski here on Thanksgiving because the average temperature is 39. In December it is 31 degrees, and in January the skiing is awesome with 27 degrees.
SHOPPING MECCA
You can do all of your holiday shopping here at the major abundance of stores. There are so many upscale stores, and boutiques that you will find everyone a gift on your shopping list. In fact, this area has the largest collection of factory outlet stores in all of Northern Utah. And if you revel in luxury designer sheets they have that too.
EVENTS
Park City Utah has a plethora of events during the holiday season. Wine connoisseurs delight at the Nouveau Beaujolais Festival on November 23 that is a wine and food festival. Christmas Eve will find you hitting the streets for the fun and frivolity of the Holiday Celebrations and Torchlight Parade. A good time will be had for every one of all ages that evening. The reason celebrities flock from all over the world is for the Sundance Film Festival in January. It is a spectacular event where independent filmmakers get their time in the spotlight.
VACATION HOME
Some noteworthy advice when staying in Park City Utah is to stay at a vacation home. This way you can have all the room you will need to stretch out and invite all your family members for the holiday season. Relax without bothering the neighbors or without them bothering you. The manger will cater to your every wish.
Park City Utah is a splendor to behold during the holiday season. From November until January you will delight in the abundance of activities. Enjoy the hot springs, and if you do get bored, there's always Salt Lake City nearby.
