There was once a boy with curly brown hair and playful brown eyes.
He had a smile that would warm even the coldest heart and a laugh that made the stars dance.
No matter where I went he was always with me.
I used to love the way his little hand fit in mine.
So many years have passed and he is no longer the boy I knew.
He isn't looking up at me anymore, but down instead.
There is no more following or hand holding.
His hair is no longer long and curly, but short and stylish.
He still has the same eyes and smile, but he is no longer a boy.
The boy has become a man before my eyes.

Back when I was new.
