Why Dosen't The Government Subsidize Alternative, Renewable Energy Sources

I am so glad to see topics like this one finally make it to public forums, where the average citizen has a chance to speak their minds, and make their voices heard! We as Americans, should have demanded alternative fuels back in the 70's, during the original energy crisis! But as usual, the majority of society seem to walk around with blinders on. Pretending everything will be ok, and the government will take care of the situation for them. Not hardly, my friends!

The truth of the matter is this. Most of our citizens would actually prefer to have someone else make their life decision's for them! I have never really understood this type of mentality! The people in my family, taught me to be as self-sufficent as possible! In every situation that was actually feasible, take care of it yourself, if at all possible! This type of thinking certainly worked for them in their own generation, and it ought to be the order of the day in the 21st. century! I can only imagine what goes through their minds, as they see the shape America is in today!

I sincerely hope that everyone understood, why I had to open this article in such a manner. It was to make the point about the mentality of the " Enlightened Society", that's in control of our government today! In very simple terms. The citizens of the United States, for the most part. Have always believed that our government was doing what was in the best interest of the American citizen! Not even close, my friends! I believe that the government of America lost that depth of trust during the 60's, and never regained it. At this rate, they never will!

The simple truth of the matter is, our own governmental scientist have been telling whatever party that was in charge at the time. What was in store for our nation, for decades! But the decision making wasn't up to them. All they could do was advise, and the bottom line with any major country's government is, capital, money! The all mighty dollar! Not what was best for the nation, or the populace, but what was best for them!

I am like most people that I know in this country. Most of us are patriotic, to the bone! But we have lost faith in our governmental leader's to do what is right for our country! Has it actually come to the time where it says in our constitution, if the government is not taking care of the people. Depose it and create a new government, a little further west? It's positively something to think
