You're A Ghost Of A Drawing

I drew it out with pen on reused paper
The shading was wrong
But it was the best that I could do

The edges turned a soft brown
And were weathered from the heat of the sun
The ink sunk deep and wore the wrinkles in
You look older than last time
But my pen doesn't lie

Your lips slowly turned down
Into a slight frown
The inked drawing
Shows you as a ghost

Your collar is turned down
As are the sheets in your bed
Where no one but you will lie

I drew it out with pen on reused paper
The shading was wrong
But it was the best that I could do

The edges turned a soft brown
And were weathered from the heat of the sun
The ink sunk deep and wore the wrinkles in
You look older than last time
But my pen doesn't lie

Your lips slowly turned down
Into a slight frown
The inked drawing
Shows you as a ghost
