How to not get the flu

Creative prevention for combating the flu is a difficult concept for someone who has never had the flu. In over 30 years of working in a retail grocery store, I have only taken 8 days off for sick leave. Four of those days were under hospital care. Stitches after falling down stairs at work, a vasectomy, removal of a boil and one day with an infection that left me unable to move my neck. Mildly painful and uncomfortable. The other four days were due to hurting my back after lifting improperly a few skids of product. Needless to say one learns lessons after having a bout with back pain. As for the flu, I am quite bold and confident that I have never had the flu. Merely a runny nose during winter which never keeps me from my responsibilities. As for my lifestyle, it is quite simple. I eat whatever I want, whenever I want. Yes, sad to say but I am one of those individuals who cannot keep weight on. I eat often, as I have a rather fast metabolism. Please, this is no joke and I am quite sincere and also very thankful for my wonderful health, but I have yet to get sick. Certainly I have days where I feel mildly crummy, but not to the point where I must vacate the job and stay home. How absolutely boring. Vegetables abound on my dinner plate along with the odd cream donut and cappuccino. At work I am on my feet nonstop for the whole shift and rarely stand in one spot too long. Walking fast and keeping mobile aids in the digestion and maintains my slim figure. Almost too slim. A few more pounds would be rather agreeable to my stature. As for the creative prevention part, I maintain, or do my best to maintain a positive outlook that certainly aids in a positive healthy body. And should I ever feel slightly under the weather, I immediately assert in my mind that I am not sick and feel wonderful. The power of the mind on one's health is an effective tool to be used wisely.
