Come enjoy the greatest snow on earth. But whether you're looking for the greatest snow or the greatest show you won't go wrong with w winter time visit to Park City, Utah. If you're looking to hit the slopes then you're certain to find your perfect destination. Don't worry cask are optional.
The slopes of Park City, Utah are always rated as one of the world's finest Ski and Snowboard destinations. Park City offers three separate resorts within a few miles of each other, but don't let think fool you into thinking they are all the same, or that you'll be forced to plow through the same old runs over and over. That's not the case with these resorts. If you're an avid skier or snowboarder then it's likely you've already heard about these three outstanding destinations; The Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort and The Canyons Resort. If you want to enjoy the fluffy white powder that Utah has to offer here is where you'll fine it at its best. They have runs for the beginner, the expert and the just plain crazy!
There is something special about the snow in Utah, that's no lie, and each year the mountains surrounding Park City usually has over 400 inches of this fine powder decorating their slopes. There is something magical about the combination of dry air, cold temperatures and the mix of moisture off the Great Salt Lake, which results in a light fluffy snow that is lighter and softer than any other powder you'll find.
If the snow itself wasn't enough to draw you to the resorts of Park City, the terrain will, because Park City has it all; fun boxes, half pipes, many pads, jumps, quarter pipes, rainbow boxes and more. And if the atmosphere wasn't enough by itself, there are some parks that have outdoors sounds systems to add to your skiing or falling pleasure whichever the case may be.
After you've finished a hard day of skiing or snowboarding, walk, amble or limp down the restored mining town Main Street of Park City. You'll have fine dining, entertainment and plenty of exciting places to share you're tall tales and broken leg stories.
In Utah when is snows it shows. In addition to the great outdoor events, visit Park City in mid-January to take in the Sundance Film Festival. If you enjoy skiing then you enjoy the experiences of other risk takers like yourself, and that's part of what the programmers of the Sundance Film Festival are looking for as well. Every year, hundreds of films and filmmakers from the US and around the world come to Park City, Utah to compete in the premier showcase event.
The Sundance Film Festival is one of the programs originated by the Sundance Institute, a non-profit organization. The Institute was founded in 1981, by Robert Redford and is dedicated to the development of independent filmmakers, artists and audiences. There are also screening and other events held in Salt Lake City, Ogden and at the Sundance Resort. So for snow peaks and show peeks, Park City, Utah is your complete vacation destination.
