Being eco-friendly is no longer an option, it is now a necessity. You don't have to allot a particular slot in your already hectic life to help the environment. You can weave in eco-friendliness into your daily routine, starting with your morning shower.

The very first thing is to remember to turn the tap off while you are brushing your teeth. You will be surprised to see the quantity of water you can save by remembering to turn on and off the tap as required. All you need the water for is to wet your toothbrush and rinse your mouth.

When you step into the shower be sure to remember to turn the shower faucet off when you are lathering up your hair or your body. There is no reason why the water should run while you scrub yourself. This simple habit can save a lot of water.

Another way of wasting water is letting the shower run while you are shaving. If the steam helps to open your pores, spray it on and be done with it. Don't keep the water running all along the lengthy process of shaving. This is applicable for both men and women as men tend to forget about the tap water while shaving their face and women do likewise with the shower spray when it comes to their legs.

If you are willing to spend some money to save the environment, you can get yourself one of the eco-friendly showerheads currently flooding the market. While you are at it, you could even give eco-friendly shower curtains a try. These eco-friendly showerheads can be attached to your existing fitting and can actually save up to 70% of water. This way, you can save water without sacrificing on water pressure.

In the absence of a gadget, you need to be alert. Just don't let the water run if you are not using it. By no means should you scrimp on cleanliness, it is just the waste we are concerned about.

If you think you want to save water, you can. Always know that every little bit counts. Like they say, "drops of water make an ocean". The best part is that all these little ways by which you can save water is not time-consuming and does not hamper your health or your well-being.
