Lonely children, with lonely faces
Living lives, in lonely places.
Stiffled feelings, empty dreams;
Never ending, so it seems.
Tatered clothing, holey shoes,
Trash cans full, from which to choose.
Hungry stomaches, sad round eyes
Hints of promise, mostly lies.
Beds consists of cold hard grounds
Nursery rhymes are traffic sounds.
Can we help, feed and give?
Take them in our home to live?
Give them love, give them prayers,
Let them see the light.
And let them sleep in peace tonight.
