Glitter

She stared into his hazel eyes and kissed him tenderly on his cheek
And tells him he's everything she would ever seek
And when he looked down to her it was glitter
And her heart could do nothing but patter and pitter
Her crimson smile caught his glance
He stood to take her hand for a dance
They spun around under the stars and moon
Lying in the grass knowing the sun would be up soon
Her eyes frozen still like glass
Daydreaming of how long this could last
In his arms she felt calm and loved
And she knew right then that he was sent from above
The stars fell screaming
Her eyes closed and she began dreaming
The heavens and the clouds all were silent in her ear
Everything in its place and their name was all she could hear
Awaken by a soft mist on her face
She looked around into blank space
All alone to wonder
The glitter faded down her dim lit face all a blunder
But to her surprise
When she opened her eyes
He was standing there watching as she slept
And he asked what dreams she had kept
Locked away was her only fear inside
Was that in life she would not have that truth to be able to confide?
But there he stands holding out his hand and she takes it into her own
And she was never again afraid to be alone.
