Created on: September 11, 2008
Today is my birthday and what do I see,
but a large pit of emptiness in front of me.
My mother's forgotten and left me alone,
unknowing and scared here unchaperoned.
But I see in the distance a shimmering light,
A man named Dustin who shares in my plight.
He see's to the good deep inside of me,
and is always attentive to all of my pleas.
What more could I ask for in all of life,
than a man who really loves me through all of the strife.
