When Angel Wings Part
And now my years I believe
Has not been all a passing dream
A rain passed, while, clouds parted
Ah! You were born into the lovely morn
Now and then I stood under billows of brightness
but, with nature so transient
even with the rosebuds in bloom,
never have I witnessed such bliss as our first kiss
Little by little and joyfully
your peaceful sunny spirit
fluttered in synch with mine;
then, contentedly we both smiled with our eyes
How tranquil are your golden-haired beams
My dreams yet, abide with a healthy gleam
For angel wings understood my prayer that night
When they carried you to earth bonny and blithe
