Did we pay the Indians?
Yes we did...why?....because they found a loop hole in the constitution. Paying restitution would be a bad idea; if the disease called racism was no longer present in the 21st century.
Paying restitution would be a bad idea in the 21st century if....a person was judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Racism is a perpetual ingredient and key reminder of slavery...believing that other Nationalities of people are inferior to you...is the malignant cause and death of racial harmony in our country. No child is born with these kinds of emotions built into their thought processes...they are taught or learned from parents or cults.
As the cliche' goes..."if you don't use it you'll lose it!" We need to stop practicing racism...but how do you kill a disease that is kept alive through many other channels in our society!...from subliminal messages to TV ads, to employment practices, or from a court system that has two kinds of laws; one for whites and one for blacks.
There is discrimination in the practices of most every company private or otherwise. All of white America does not hate black people!...but lets get one thing understood, if we as a nation of immigrants cannot move past the inferiority complex!...our greatest accomplishments for the entire world may never be discovered!
We cannot exemplify greatness until true humility has spread through all generations! Some states have made formal apologies for slavery...but like all diseases...the cure can take years to develop!...we have to start some where. We have to make a strong attempt to annoculate the host of this disease.
Those people who are in white America who will not release the notion that they are superior to every other race...are the ones who are perpetuating the "Racism Disease"! This disease is seen mirror in the light of the Pigford vs Glickman lawsuit for black farmers. My dad was one of those black farmers...who happens to have passed away.
To make a long story shorter...the lawsuit involved black farmers who had been and are still being discriminated against by the USDA. These farmers including my dad were denied loans for money to plant their crops and those who did manage to recieve a loan recieved to little to late...farming is a seasonal thing!
At harvest time most all of the black farmers were quoted a different price for there crops...than what was given to white farmers. When will the hate end?...Why did'nt it end with the Civil War? For
