-Horse Breed: Arabian Horse-

Arabians are amazing, mystifying, light, beautiful, and curious animals I have ever seen. They are so graceful in the way they walk, trot, canter, or gallop. It is like a fantasy dream almost.
===
Today you are going to learn about the a horse breed called an Arabian.
===
-Name: from the Arabian peninsula, where the breed was first bred.

-Usual Height: 15 hands (
-Usual Weight: 800 to 1,000 pounds
-Color: Predominantly chestnut, grey, bay, and black.
-Main Characteristics: a small head with large eyes; a long neck and short back; high, curving hindquarters; a long, silky main and tail.

The Arabian is the oldest of all purebred horse lines. There is evidence that the breed existed on the Arabian peninsula as early as 2,500 BC. Most Breeds today have at least some Arabian blood. People love these horses for their Strength, Courage, and Beauty.

Tails:
This breed has long legs that are slim, but strong. A standard feature of this breed is its high-carried tail. The high tail come from having fewer tailbones than other horses. Most Arabians have 16 tailbones and 22 vertebrae (backbones). Other breeds have 18 tailbones and 24 vertebrae.

Action:
The Arabian horse often appears to float over the ground. This remarkable action, coupled with a gentle temperament, makes it a popular riding horse throughout the world.

Stamina:
The breed's legendary stamina makes it the perfect choice for endurance riding which at the top level involves covering a distance of 100 miles (161 km) in a day.

Beauty:
With its elegance, spirit, and exceptional looks, it is easy to see why the Arabian is often considered to be the world's most beautiful horse.

Body:
Small head with broad forehead, fine muzzle, concave profile, wide nostrils and small ears; deep, clearly, defined jowl with the throat set into it in a distinctly arched curve; graceful, curving neck; long, sloping shoulders with well-defined withers; deep, roomy body with broad, deep chest and short, level back; high-set tail; hard, clean limbs with well-defined tendons and dense, fine bone; hard, well-shaped feet; fine, silky mane and tail.

I hope you have learned lots about Arabians by reading this today. I also hope that now you see how amazing the Arabian breed is. Try to remember this breed, for it is a beautiful horse and talented too. You just need to remember that for your own good in case you come upon a horse or an Arabina. Thanks for reading!
