One fine day I went to Wal-Mart for my weekly grocery shopping. I have this bad habit of keeping the keys to my car in my hand instead of putting them away. So off I go over to the health aids department for some vitamins and a quick stroll through electronics. I stopped to check out some new clothes then on to the grocery section where I start to pick up everything on my list. in about an hour or so I just about done and its time to head out to the check out counter. Now mind you I have cold items like milk and TV dinners and Ice cream among others on my shopping list. After paying for the items I head out to the car and I discover I don't have my car keys.
I franticly search the check out counter but to no avail. I must have set them down somewhere Oh god, what have I done to deserve this. I am told by a friendly attendant to check with customer service as someone may have found them and turned them in. So I do but they don't have my keys... I drive a Ford Wind-star and it has That little clicker device, I later find out the it will cost $60.00 to replace it from Ford. After trying to remember where I might have laid them down and back tracking all over the store. I finally give up and call a cab. I live in rural community and the ride home is a good 20 mile so the cab cost a small fortune. What a horrible day. At least I have a spare key at the house and once I put my groceries away I go back for my vehicle.
It's now a month later, I still haven't replace the set of keys I lost because I really don't want to pay Ford that money for the clicker thing. So every time I go to Wal-Mart I ask customer service if they have found my keys and they tell me no. One day, 6 weeks later someone tells me to check with lay away, sometimes keys that are found in the back of the store are taken there.. So I did and Thank God, they were there. I just wished I would have known to do that the day I lost the keys. Needless to say, when I go there now I put my keys away the moment I get out of the car.
