Working in an Office and Being Healthy
We are so blessed to be able to work in an office environment. Though maybe times that are stressful, there is no excuse for us to not maintain or establish a healthy mental/spiritual and physical life. We have the opportunity to go to the restroom when we want to, talk to whomever we want to and eat when we want to, so do it wisely
Mental/Spiritual Health
We shouldn't just talk about God, God needs to be our anchor day- to- day not just Sunday. The things we say should reflect our devotion to God. We should put ourselves in the position to better ourselves physically and mentally. Refrain from being profane and hateful; don't let this job get the best of you.
Physical Health
As adults we can do what we want to do, eat want we want to eat, but part of being a responsible adult is having restraint. If we eat what we want to eat, when we want to eat it, eventually we won't be able to eat what we want to eat at all. Let our favorite foods be treats, not daily snacks or meals.
Exercise is also important to physical health, but without eating healthy, it's not as effective as it can be. Finding a workout regime that is right for our health level is essential, but we must be diligent.
Friends
We have a tendency to make friends at work, but we need to establish healthy friendships. The people we hang around at work should be people that encourage us to do positive things, as we should encourage them. A true friend won't tell us yes', when were deciding on whether we should to pieces of cake, a true friend will tell us no, we don't need cake, as a matter of fact we don't need to eat out, let's start bringing our food.' It's easier to maintain a healthy lifestyle when we're not doing it alone. True friends don't tell us what we want to hear, they say things we need to hear and true friends listen.
Instead of eating fast food, friends should go shopping for food together.
Consumption
Refrain from eating foods with High Fructose Corn Syrup, Aspartme and Sucralose.
The following items you need to avoid: Soda, Diet Soda, Diet beverages, white breads, red meat, flavored water, coffee-caffeine.
Instead try: Drink at least 64oz water, 8oz ofCranberry, Orange and Grape Juice watch out for High Fructose Corn Syrup and Aspartme in juice, not all Juices are created equal. Replace coffee with a 5-10 minute workout in the morning.
Start today
It won't be easy, so just start at our own pace. If we eat out everyday, we should cut it down to only the weekends. Remember the love we have for life and enjoying life, don't be a slave to food and don't rely on medications to keep you healthy. It's not about being thin, because thin people are not immune to serious health problems, but it's about being healthy and establishing a healthy lifestyle. We are too young to just let ourselves go, as long as we have breath in our body, we should take strides to be healthy. We all want to have a healthy heart, mind, libido and outlook on life; it all starts today.
