Human beings love their daily shower. It makes them feel clean and refreshed as well as being very relaxing.

In today's "going green" lifestyle many are trying to change their routine ,to make their daily shower more eco- friendly to the environment, and save money as well.

Here are some basic tips to help you achieve this.

* Install a water saving shower head. Low flow shower heads save gallons of water.

* Purchase bio-degradable body soap and hair cleaning products. These can be found at health food stores or discount stores. The break down in the water and are less polluting to the earth.

* When you first turn the water on to warm up, have a several buckets or plastic dish pans to catch the cold water. This water can be recycled for other household use. It does not get wasted by going down the drain.

* Have all your shower products and towels assembled before you turn the water on. This economizes by not having the water running while you assemble these items.

* Wet your body and hair thoroughly first, then shut the water to very low or off, while you lather up and wash your body and hair. Then turn the water back on to rinse off.
This will save gallons of water and reduce your bill dramatically.

* When your shower is finished wipe out the shower with a clean rag, and a small amount of baking soda, and then rinse with the buckets of water you saved at the beginning of your shower. This will keep it clean continually and save on buying harsh polluting cleaners to clean your shower.

* Instruct children and teens on how to take and eco friendly shower. Monitor younger children so they learn when to shut the water off and conserve on shampoo and soap.

* Follow the manufacturers directions on the proper temperature to keep you water heater set at. This saves energy and reduces your costs.

* Try and follow some of these tips when you are staying at hotels, such as using less water and bio-gradable soap.

* Always "go green" with every shower.
