Racism Will Not be The determining Factor When Voting For Barack Obama
In case people haven't noticed, and obviously they haven't because of the title of this topic.
Obama has just practically as many white supporters and he does Blacks, Hispanics, Asian's, or any other race. My question is, why is race continually thrown into the political arena to begin with?
Let's face it everyone. The only people who still believe in this racism subject, are either the un-informed, or people that are still racist themselves. I believe it's way overdue to do away with this racism card, once and for all. I personally have friends of several different races. The topic of discussion between us is about Obama's politics. Not his color!
Come on America! Let's do away with these sur-names all together! African Americans, Asian Americans, Spanish Americans, White Americans, Italian Americans! It's time for everyone to finally realize that, we are "All Americans"! Period! Regardless of our roots or backgrounds. We all live in the same country. We all have to pay taxes. We all have to work for a living. We all have to serve in our Armed Forces. Well, most of us anyway. So what is the difference here?
We live in the same neighborhoods, for the most part. In this day and time, there are only two classes. The truly needy and the truly greedy. Now, I know that this view may be unpopular, but it's the absolute truth. We shouldn't care about someone's class, or nationality. They're color or background. We are all Americans, so can't we just be Americans together?
When will the people of this country come to realize that one simple fact? It dosen't matter where our family's came from, hundred's of years ago! They are long gone by now. It's up to us to learn that we are basically all the same. We need to teach our children and grandchildren, that hate for another race does nothing but harm one's self! Is this truly that hard to understand? I don't believe it is on any level, and I hope you agree.
When you look at Barack Obama. What do you see? A black man? I certainly hope thats not all you see. What I see is an educated man, who worked hard to get where he is in life. I can only hope and pray, that this is what every other American see's as well. He took responsibility for his own life. He has tried to set an example, for all people.
It's time to take responsibility for your own actions, in your own country! This is just part of the message that Senator Obama is trying to give to our nation, as a whole. It's meant for everyone that lives in the "United State of America". Not just people of a different race than white people. Everyone that lives in this country is an American. Period. That is one of the most important message's Senator Obama is trying to give to us as a whole.
So. In my humble opinion. Let me just say. If anyone is voting for Obama, strictly because he's black. Or if you are not voting for Obama, strictly because he's black. Then it's time for you to take a look at yourself and your own personal beliefs. We are all Americans, if we live in this country, and I can only hope and pray, that you have understood this article for the right reasons. This is America. We are all Americans, and that my friends is the absolute truth. It's wonderful to celebrate your heritage, but let's not forget. America was founded by people from all over the world.
We created this great country that is named the United States of America, and I for one will be eternally grateful for the privlege of living in this country and calling myself an American! I believe that this is a large part of Senator Obama's message of change for this country! I can only hope that you agree.
