That short time from mid September to November is possibly one of my favorite seasons. Fall. Brilliantly colored leaves, hot apple cider and cozy sweaters bring found memories of this magical season. But Fall's crisp air can reek havoc on our skin. So, to ensure your face won't end up looking like a fallen leaf follow these tips and you'll be sure to stay looking your best all the way to Winter.

I accredit regular exfoliation to keeping a healthy glow. Exfoliating gently removes the layer of dead, dry skin cells leaving fresher skin below. Plus all the vigorous action boost circulation and open pores allowing treatments to absorb better.

If you skin is oily or acne prone, exfoliate 2 to 3 times per week. And look for a formula containing salicylic acid.

If skin is dry or sensitive exfoliate once a week. Opt for a formula with a creamy, moisturizing base. And sensitive types should look for a gentle exfoliation like those that say they contain beads.

All skin types need a little bit of added moisture in Fall's crisp air.

Many people with oily do not believe their skins needs a moisturizer but it does, especially if using acne products that can dry skin. To avoid oil overload, choose a product that is oil-free and a light gel base. Start with a small amount and be sure not to over do it this will only make your skin appear oilier.

Dry and sensitiva skin will require a bit more moisture so you will want a thicker, cream-based formula. If skin is very dry you may also consider using a night cream, you'll be sure to wake to a brighter fresh face.

Incorporate special treatments into your skin care regime based on your needs. A clay face mask that will clear pores for oily/acne prone skin. Dry and sensitive, look for a moisture boosting version.

If your complexion seems to be on the dull side look for products containing vitamin C, which will brighten skin and renew skin cells.

And of coarse be sure to drink plenty of water.
