The moon breaks down
On the corner of a street
St. Jude's wrecked in pieces
With the dreamers at his feet
And undercover lovers
Running desperate in the night
Escape the torment teachings
Of the false prophesy of light
They stumble in the gutters
Ragged, wasted, drifting life
As he begins to mutter
But struggles with the strife
Of the whitewashed windows
Laced with baneful spite
And her tears are all but whispers
Falling gently in the night
No one hears the lovers
As they break down to their knees
And they huddle on the corner
Till the mourning finds them in their need
