Poetry: Choices

I have so many choices to make
The pressure I can’t take
I feel surrounded by a thousand voices
Deafening me
All telling me to make different choices
I’m afraid
I can’t listen to them all
My back is broken trying to think how to get one made
Long past desperate I feel
So long ago did I fall
My heart won’t listen
My heart won’t beat
All these choices just bring me defeat
How much can one man take before being beaten?

My hands are tied with misery
My choices are a mystery
I don’t have any
Nothing
Nothing solid to turn to
Not a thought not a penny
I’m not here
I feel invisible with anything
For a non existing future
I have no choices
No rejoices
Just the plain truth
I burnt all my choices from youth

Today to be able to give or take advice
Would be very nice
Sadly my choices I made
With all my decisions I stayed
So I’m buried
That’s the price of being young and making choices when naïve and hurried
If only I was allowed to think back
Different choices I would choose differently to attack
