Giving gifts at Christmas is the heart beat of the season. It's convenient to have such a variety of plausible gifts available for purchase at so many stores during the holiday, but nothing holds value like a homemade gift from the heart.

We've strayed from giving gifts that we make because of this convenience and because we don't have faith or abilities within ourselves to make something nice. We feel that the only really good gifts are store bought, but that is not true. Here are a few suggestions for homemade Christmas gifts that will bless everyone.

Frame it in a frame that suits their home dcor and then wrap it in coloured tissue paper inside a Christmas box that's bound with satin ribbons. It's a gift they'll treasure forever.

Blankets, Afghans, Doilies: If you're good at crocheting or knitting, you could create a myriad of blankets, afghans or doilies to suit the person you're giving to. Not only would they have a nice item, but it would be exactly to their taste.

Quilts: If you're good at sewing and you can get all the colours and designs from your person, you could create for them a fabulous quilt that not only
