Baby's First Easter
Like a children's party-
Mylar balloons sparkling in the sun
Stuffed bunnies in baskets,
Squished together,
Cozy and squeezable.
Splashes of Spring flowers-
Bunched together,
Like New Yorkers on a subway,
Going every which way.
Each little square-
Deliciously decorated,
But not cake!
Rather- a garden of baby graves on Easter morn,
Dripping not with dew,
But with the tears
Of young mothers and fathers.
