What A Mess
The past has raised it's ugly head
palms out streched, our future's read
The devil's done his dirty deed
But God will still supply our needs
So keep in mind the task at hand
Your duty to the promised land
The chosen one betwixt the two
To change the lives of me and you
To govern fair amongst the earth
To always put the Father first
To feed the poor and hungry souls
To lead us to that pot of gold
To offer shelter where there's none
To recognize God's only son
To bring our loved ones home in peace
To make the cry of war to cease
To cut the cost of oil and gas
To save the race of middle class
To pay our teachers what they earn
To help our children try to learn
To open up careers and jobs
Take higher taxes , from richer snobs
Make healthcare, affordable
And nursing homes responsible
Social security and pension plans
Can't sustain the needs of man
Housing costs are way too high
A funeral costs too much to die
Medicines, all cost so much
That longer life seems out of touch
And don't forget the idle dreams
That bursts our jails right from the seams
while A.I.D.s and H.IV. I'm told
Sieze our cities in choke holds
Veterans now line our streets
lodged by trash cans where they eat
Mental patients roam at will
Innocent people being killed
Police have lost their civil minds
and joined the crooks in committing crimes
Terrorist now own our stores
and operate beyond the laws
Knowing this is what we face
Who will you choose to win this race?
Please make your voice heard say it loud Vote!

A Summer Crossroad
A dusty summer crossroad
A rising summer sun
Four ways to start; many more ways to end
I saw a traveller

The choices we make
Are the roads we take
No matter the consequence
Bravely we must face
Accepting our mistakes

I'm amazed every day,
at the things people do and say.
No thought to the pain,
these people are oblivious and vain.
