Thank you, Dad for being brave
When life was getting hard
You faced your future full of hope
You played your winning card.
You knew your life was at an end
You tried hard not to worry
But you when your family cursed your fate
You reacted to their fury
"Don't cry for me," you often said
"My life's been full of joys.
I wed the girl I always loved
Sired a daughter and 3 boys."
I cannot thank my Dad enough
For allowing me to see
That faith in God can see you through
The worst calamity.
My Dad's in heaven, of this I'm sure
Sitting by God's side
With grateful thanks, I'll always say
I'm glad I shared the ride.
