The Sims is one of the greatest computer games of all time. You are the god of these virtual people, with the ultimate power to control their lives, their jobs - even the power to build their houses or watch them crash and burn. From building them to destroying them, there's nothing more fun than having the power to design and live out your own virtual life. If something goes wrong you can simply hit the Reset button. If only life were that easy! There's a way to get the most out of The Sims. Don't let the "rules" of the game get you down. With these cheat codes you can beat the system and become the richest Sim family on the block. Once again, real life would be so much sweeter if it worked this way.

To use these cheat codes, start by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + C. This will open a box for you to type your cheat code in up at the top left. The most useful cheat code in the Sim's game is simple: Click on the text and type in rosebud;! and continue putting as many ;! as you want. For the last one use ;1 instead of ;! This will give you more money. Just keep hitting enter over and over. It will give you an error message, but if you watch your money indicator at the bottom you will notice it rising. I put my cell phone on the enter button to hold it down and walked away. About fifteen minutes later I came back and had maxed out my Sim's money. Now they live in a giant mansion and never go broke!

Another irritation of the game is that your Sims have needs. They need to go to the bathroom, to eat, and to sleep. If these needs aren't met they'll become cranky and won't listen to what you say. But if you have more than one Sim it gets confusing to keep up with each Sim's needs, let alone try to fulfill them all. There's a way to fix this problem. In the text box type in "move_objects on", without the quotation marks, and go into Buy Mode. Click on your Sim and then hit delete. Click on your Sim's picture and they will reappear will their need bars completely green again! They will lose any relationship or skill points they have gained since the last save and their job, however. But if you have unlimited money, then a job is no problem! Sometimes Sims will not regenerate by a pool.

There are many other codes for the Sims. The "move_objects on" command can be used to delete trash, newspapers, and other objects likes dirty dishes that the game normally tells you cannot be deleted. There are other tricks that don't involve any cheat codes. If you put a Sim in the swimming pool and then delete the ladder they will eventually drown. Also with the "move_objects on" command you can put a car inside your house if there's enough room and it won't be able to drive away. Kidnap other Sims by luring them into your house and then deleting all the doors. My favorite is to put a Christmas Tree and cookies by a fireplace and at night Santa Claus will come in and leave presents. The possibilities are virtually endless, and in no time you'll have discovered some new tricks of your own.
