Testimonies: How to stop smoking

Statistic shows that 90% people want to stop smoking, but people who really stops is only 1%. Stop smoking is quite effective way to protect yourself from diseases. Your health becomes better, after 3-9 months you can breathe easier, lungs functions becomes 10% better. You avoid a risk to get a heart stroke or lungs cancer.

Most of smokers think that they can stop smoking any time they want. But they're wrong. The more they smoke, the more they feel pharmacological smoking effect. So after time, they only feel physical addiction. So it's not important are you old or young person. Most important is deep wish to stop smoking.

If you believe that you can stop, you can try it. Here are some advices how to to it easier.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

1) Don't think that stop smoking is a hard task.
2) Write down all reasons why you should stop smoking. Every evening read every reason 10 times at least.
3) Chose the day when you want to stop smoking. At that day you must reject any smoking. Don't let anyone to change that day, because they find some special occasions to smoke. Tell friends that you are planning to quit smoking. Alert them that you may not be in a good mood at that time. Later celebrate this day every year. Don't stop smoking only for 1 test day. Remember, that it's not always easy, but it's possible. Smoking abstinence is temporary. Usually it takes 1-2 weeks. So don't give up the first hardest week.
4) Every second you feel you can't continue, try to take a glass of juices than a cigarette.
5) If you still can't stop smoking, make smoking an ugly process. If you smoke with friends or colleagues, go alone. Sit in uncomfortable chair and think about a harm of smoking.



WHAT YOU SHOULDN'T DO:

1) Decrease cigarettes number each day.
2) Don't smoke only half cigarette per day.
3) Don't put smoking process for later time.
4) Don't think how much cigarettes you smoke every day.
5) Don't go from heavier to easier cigarettes.
6) Don't hold an ashtray in your home any more. It will remember you to smoke.
7) Don't hold a cigarettes deck at home for harder situation.
8) Don't plan that you will not smoke forever. Plan that you will smoke today. It will be easier to stop if you try as hard as you can every day.
9) Don't be discouraged if you gain a weight. You are saving your skin, teeth, and life by stop smoking.

Lately, if you stopped, never find a reason to start smoking again. Even if you have a hard psychological period in your life. Try to use this energy in sports or helping for others. Don't let yourself to fall again into this or another addiction!
