Faults
When gazing upon your rehearsed and perfect smile,
As the stage lights flicker and create shadows on your face
I notice a crooked tooth.
When glancing at your carefully chosen, painfully planned clothing,
I notice a tear in the fabric.
When listening to your professional, booming, theatrical voice,
Reaching up into the balcony
Waltzing with the ghosts of dead actors
I notice a waver.
When holding your friendly, confident, handsome look,
I notice a glimmer of uncertainty.
When stealing a private second from a public fool,
Your jester's hat askew
I notice fragility and humbleness.
When peering through the polished, flawless glaze,
I notice you.
