Tropical fruit salad is colorful and so easy to make, it's no wonder it's a staple at many cookouts and get togethers. There are many different ways to make it, here is one of my favorites:
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
3 tablespoons pineapple juice
1 large can fruit cocktail
1 large can crushed pineapples
1 bottle maraschino cherries
1 small pkg. miniature marshmallows
1 large container Cool Whip
Have cream cheese at room temperature. Cream together cream cheese, mayonnaise, and pineapple juice. Drain fruit well. Add fruit and other ingredients to cream cheese mixture. Mix well and put in a large dish (plastic, glass, or porcelain) that you plan to use for serving. Store in refrigerator. While it can be served immediately, it tastes much better the next day.
