Far Away
When all is quiet and still and true,
I sit, I sketch, I think of you,
I close my lids and think anew,
I know the phone will bring you near,but,
uncertainty mirrors fear,
My pencil shapes your chiseled chin,
My fingers encase your soul within,
My eyes are blurred with unshed tears,
My blessed love, my tortured dear,
I know that I must stay away,
I am no good is what they say,
They do not see you as I do,
They say I am no good for you,that,
From far away I must stay from you,
Yet no drug can stop my faulty mind,
From within this room I am resigned,
Madness takes so many sides,
It takes no prisoners,nowhere to hide,
But as the dawn brings new day,
Love keeps me far away.

lives my beloved and here I lay,

when we were together
Abandoned
Gone again, so far away;
no one to hold, no one to touch.
Pictures remind, life's bitter pain;
chances lost, forever
