Money is important! It is an obvious fact that no one can deny.
With money you'll have the access to the basic necessities, such as: food, clothes, pure water, electricity, and medicine... With money you can afford to go to school, to buy an interesting book, or to travel on your holiday.
If you have never been in the lack of food and clothes, if you have never been worried about your school fees, you may take everything you are having for granted. As a result, there is no reason for you to think that money is so important. But actually it is. It is giving you a lot of things that people who have no money or very little money, who we call the poor, never dare to dream, just dream, of.
And without money, what can you have?
Beyond my own experience, it may be a shame!
One morning, when you are walking on the street, you meet some of your old friends. All of you are very happy to meet each other after such a long time. Your friends suggest that all of you go to a coffee bar to have some drink while talking. Suddenly, you feel so worried and nervous. The sweat seems to be running over your forehead. In your pocket now there is some left money, which is just enough for a usual mediocre meal of your whole family this evening. So you hurriedly refuse, telling them that you are having some emergent business to cope with, then go. You feel so ashamed of having been so mean. You are so mean that you feel afraid of inviting your friends just a little coffee!
Another time, you come back home in the summer holiday after a long school-term living far from home. You notice your father's shirt has been so old, and even there is some rags on it. You dig into your mind, trying to remember how long he has been wearing this shirt. You intend to buy for him a new shirt. As a rule, you have to check your pocket, sadly realizing that after buying the new shirt for your father where can you get the money to make both ends meet for all your family in this month?! You feel really so sad. What a sad shame that you are unable to buy for your dear father just a new shirt. At that moment you are fully aware of the value of money.
Money is important. You shouldn't be afraid of admitting that truth. No one will look down on you or think that you are greedy when you realize the importance of money. However, while I insist that money is important, I also want to strongly insist that money is not all!
