If your favorite restaurant as a child was Chucky Cheese, then you'll love Dave and Buster's. This restaurant, bar and adult arcade offers hours of entertainment and is a great date option.
However, before you can start to play, you must first head to the card kiosk to get a member's card and load it up with points using a credit or debit card. All of the games have a card reader and a digital screen that conveniently shows you your point balance as you play. Let me warn you, however, that the cost of playing games can add up quickly, especially with so many addicting options to choose from. It's a good idea to set a limit on how much you want to spend before you start playing and make sure you stick to it, even if after a few drinks you're dying to go load up again.
If you're not concerned about earning tickets and are just looking for some good old fashioned fun, Dave & Buster's offers billiards and air-hockey tables. Skee-ball and basketball are also tried and true favorites, but don't expect to win a lot of tickets with these either.
If you're looking to burn off the calories from one of Dave & Buster's yummy appetizers, you can try one of their more active game options, such as Dance, Dance Revolution or virtual bowling.
If you're into video games, Dave & Buster's offers tons of options. You can race cars, snowmobiles, and motorcycles, or test your aim as an army sergeant, secret agent or elk hunter. However, if you're not a video game master, it can be difficult to get the hang of many of these games without playing them repeatedly, which can quickly drain your pocketbook.
Thankfully, you don't have to sit on the sidelines just because you're not a skilled gamer. Dave and Buster's offers many games that leave everything up to chance. Whether you're picking a number, selecting a color or spinning a wheel, these games might not be as entertaining, but often they pay out the highest number of tickets, which is a thrill in itself.
However, all of these games pale in comparison to Dave & Buster's trivia game. This is by far my favorite and I would play for hours if I could afford it. This challenging game consists of six chairs facing a large screen. Multiple-choice questions are asked from randomly selected categories, including Music, Arts & Sciences, Sports, History and Film. Five questions are asked per round and whoever is the first to buzz in with the most correct answers is named the winner. The more people that play, the higher the ticket payout and the more exciting the game becomes. To add to this excitement, a ticket bonus is also offered if you answer all five questions correctly. With this game you get more time for your money and have an opportunity to socialize with your opponents.
As you can see, no matter what type of game you prefer, Dave & Buster's has something for everyone. The prizes may not be that great, but the atmosphere is fun, the food is delicious and the drinks are plentiful. What better way to spend a Friday or Saturday night?
