If you have been looking for a free game site to play at then check the Pogo online games site out. It is easy to join and it is free to join! You won't find a gimmick on this site; just plain old fashioned fun.

Pogo.com is a wonderfully entertaining game site that doesn't expect you to be a computer genius to play there. They offer a wide variety of interactive games ranging from the basic card games of cribbage, Hearts and Spades to high graphic puzzle, arcade and casino games. (By interactive games, I mean that when you play these games at Pogo, you are playing against other real people just like yourself).

To enter into the fun at Pogo all that you have to do is create a free account for yourself. You will do this by creating a screen name (this is the name that other Pogo members will identify you as) and creating a password so that only you have access to your personal account information at Pogo. From this point on you are allowed to roam all the free games on the Pogo site. It is just that easy.

If you have friends or relatives that are also members of Pogo then you can enter their names onto a "Friends List" so you can easily see where they are playing at, and just as easily join them in their game if you wish to do so. Not only does Pogo make it easy for you to play checkers with Great Aunt Harriet who lives half way across the country from you, but they also have thought to include chat screens in every room. You can also talk with Aunt Harriet on the "Free Chat Screen" that sits to the side of every game room that you enter into at www.pogo.com. Of course you do have to watch what you say because every other person who is in that room can also see what you are saying, but most people get used to this pretty easily, and stick to general topics.

When you select a game that you would like to play you will find yourself at a screen with a number of game rooms. Tabs at the top of the bar direct you into rooms generally grouped by skill level or age depending on which game you have selected to play. For example the age groupings are: Topics (for those of all ages), Teens, 20's, 30's, 40's, and 50+. So if you prefer to play games with members of your own age group then you would select the appropriate tab. So lets say that you select the 50+ tab and suddenly find yourself faced by a listing of rooms containing a majority of people in that age grouping (as well as the occasional grandchild who has popped in to say hi to grandpa or to play a game with Great
