Religion has been around for thousands of years. There have been many different Gods who have influenced people's lives. Temples were created in Greece for their many Gods while ceremonies were performed in America by Indians who believed their was a God for everything. Pyramids were erected in Egypt to show their devotion to their Gods. I guess all those people went to Hell because they didn't believe in the God. Didn't they know that they were going to Hell? Leave it to the Christians to let everyone know what would happen if they didn't convert.
In 1692 over 150 men and women were accused of witchcraft in Massachusetts. Many of these people were church going citizens who may have looked at someone the wrong way. Back in 1692 one would only have to make the accusation that one was a witch. The suspect was then arrested and imprisoned. A few would die sitting in their cages while over 25 would be hung on accounts of being a witch. Later in time many people would begin to realize that these people were not witches at all. It wasn't until the elite class was accused that the court began to reconsider. It finally ended when someone pointed out that the devil could not take the shape of an innocent person. Looking back we can see how stupid we were to even think such a thing of so many people.
A long time ago there was a man who believed that his father was God. He believed that he was on the Earth to save everyone's soul. He spent most of his latter years preaching to a crowd. He disagreed with the temple and their rules, so he tried to create his own. People loved him because he was trying to help their well being. Then one night he was arrested and sent to be crucified.
In 1095 the Europeans were becoming Christians. They decided to take on all the Muslims and anyone else who opposed the Christian faith. They meant to take back Jerusalem and the Holy Land. There would be nine crusades that these men would carry through that lasted over 200 years (not counting seven other side crusades). Needless to say that many men died.
There was a time that America was open land. People lived on it before we even knew it existed. These people were different colored and did not speak our language. We came believing in God while they believed in weather Gods that were at most laughable. When we tried to convert them they backed away. Who were we to say where we came from? They did not want anything to do with us, but like the Americans we were, we gave them diseases and stole
